The Sun Immersion Special Interest Group (SIG) is a research and development community for educators, students, designers and technologists to explore applications for open source virtual worlds and gaming using Project Wonderland and Darkstar technologies

The goal of the community is to create an open and transparent system of communication between diverse groups committed to advancing the state of education worldwide
